Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about OZEAON, our DAO, and our mission.
General Questions
What is OZEAON?
A decentralized climate technology platform that combines open science, education, and blockchain to accelerate regenerative innovation and sustainable development.
Why was OZEAON created?
To address the climate crisis, biodiversity loss, and the lack of open access to knowledge and funding for innovators. OZEAON empowers individuals and communities to learn, create, and fund solutions together.
Who can use OZEAON?
Researchers, educators, students, innovators, funders, NGOs, policymakers, and everyday citizens. Anyone who wants to learn, contribute, or support regenerative projects is welcome.

- • Create and share projects, articles, videos, and tutorials
- • Fund regenerative projects directly
- • Earn rewards for learning and contributing
How does OZEAON ensure credibility of content and projects?
Through a combination of AI-assisted verification, DAO community curation, and integration of Digital Monitoring, Reporting & Verification (DMRV) services for projects.
Is OZEAON free to use?
Yes, educational resources and community features are free. Some premium services and token-based features may involve fees or subscriptions.
DAO & Governance
What is the OZEAON DAO?
A decentralized governance system where members use Progress tokens to vote on decisions, from platform improvements to reserve allocations.
Who oversees the DAO?
The DAO governs daily decisions. The OZEAON Foundation provides ethical and strategic oversight, ensuring alignment with the UN SDGs, the Ocean Decade, and regenerative values.
What are Pods?
DAO Working Groups that focus on specific areas like Education, Tokenomics, Ocean-Climate Nexus, or Innovation. Pods make proposals and feed into DAO voting.
Tokenomics
What are the two tokens?
Progress (non-transferable): Earned by learning, funding, or contributing. Used for governance and minting $OZEAON.
$OZEAON (utility token): Tradeable, used for project funding, tipping, content purchase, and ecosystem growth.
How do I earn Progress?
By engaging with the platform — learning through resources, funding projects, tipping creators, or contributing content.
What is Proof of Progress (PoP)?
A consensus mechanism where real-world contributions (learning, funding, creating) are validated by AI + DAO to issue Progress tokens. Unlike proof-of-work, it's sustainable and impact-driven.
What can I do with $OZEAON?
Fund projects, buy premium content, tip creators, and participate in ecosystem growth. It can also be traded externally after the ICO launch.
Projects & Funding
How are projects funded?
Through fiat or $OZEAON contributions. The platform collects variable project funding fees and transaction fees to sustain operations and support the OZEAON Foundation reserves.
Can the DAO choose which projects to fund?
Yes, but not exclusively. Projects can be independently funded without DAO approval, but the DAO may allocate reserves to support high-impact initiatives.
How is project impact measured?
Through DMRV integration, AI insights from the Climate Intelligence Layer, and transparent reporting from project creators.
Foundation & Oversight
What is the OZEAON Foundation?
The ethical and strategic oversight body of the platform. It ensures alignment with regenerative principles, manages grants, oversees AI ethics, and integrates transdisciplinary collaboration.
Does the Foundation provide funding?
Yes, it acts as the non-profit arm of OZEAON, acquiring and distributing grants to support education, innovation, and regenerative projects.
